It is the 1st day of January, 2017 CE. 3rd day of Rabiul Akhir, 1438 AH.
Many of us make new resolutions, new plans and agendas to achieve and implement for this new year.
All that is good and I wish each and everyone the best with their goals. We should also learn from our life experiences before this and try our level best to avoid making the same mistakes or fall victim to the many shysters out there.
Growing Older
As we age and grow older, naturally our health conditions might be affected as our hormone production is reduced and we tend to fall sick easier. More health supplements and remedies need to be taken and whether we like it or not, we do have to exercise and try to keep fit and regain our stamina and strength.
As for me, my failing eyesight @ cataract on my left eye is starting to cloud my vision. I am getting by with improved vision of my right eye which has been operated on and replaced with an artificial lens before this. Alhamdulillah.
At being 58 years and 2 months old, I am relatively still able to live my life well although a tad affected by a few health complications but that is all part and parcel of aging. Compared to others who are bed ridden in hospitals or nursing homes, Syukur Alhamdulillah, I am doing alright.
Aspirations
I look forward to undergoing an operation to replace my cataract contracted left eye with an artificial lens preferably within the early stages of 2017 and then get a pair of corrective spectacles to see better.
I also aim to complete writing two Islamic genre Malay film scripts that I have been working on all these while and finish my guide book on becoming or being a Muslim. Insya Allah.
Hopes and Wishes
I wish to see peace reign on Earth and the oppressed people of Palestine, Iraq, Libya, Kashmir, Rohingya, Native Americans, Orang Asli’s here in Malaysia and other parts of the world get their due rights back.
I hope that reforestation will take place back on the now devastated hills and forests of Pahang, Kelantan, Terengganu, Penang, Perak, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak.
I wish to see the culprits responsible for such destruction be arrested, charged, sentenced to imprisonment and their ill gotten assets be confiscated and compensated to the people whose lives were affected by these crooks.
I also hope to see the shit stirrers and troublemakers be stripped of their state awarded titles and action be taken against them for carrying out illegal businesses and activities.
I dream of a just society where the city and local authorities are free of corrupt officials and all illegal obstructions and structures be removed from parking lots placed there by unscrupulous stall operators and their corrupt contacts in DBKL here in the Kuala Lumpur Federal Territory and State Governments everywhere.
I also hope that the Malaysian Education Ministry will reintroduce the teaching of the Civics subject to our academic schools and institutions. Our Malaysian society seriously needs to be taught the basics of common courtesies and social responsibilities once more.
There are many good instructional videos available online that can be used in such teaching. Malaysian Film producers can produce similar videos for our country and such beneficial short videos be broadcasted on television and at the cinemas before the main screening of movies.
Toilet etiquette especially those involving the usage of public restrooms must be taught to the many uncivilized idiots who still tend to squat on seated toilets and cause normal users to suffer such inconvenience of having to cover up the dirty toilet seats with toilet paper before be able to use them!
There are too many selfish idiots out there today. Racial and religious intolerance is creeping up again amongst us and we are all not that happy with this scourge that can destroy our relative peace and harmony. We can’t afford or allow that to take root here in Malaysia, our beloved homeland.
I can keep going on but guess I’ll just stop here and hope that 2017 will be a better year for all of us.

DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Yang Di-Pertuan Agong ke IV, Sultan Muhammad V |
I can’t predict the future as it is forbidden for Muslims to be fortune tellers, etc. but I hope that our new 15th Malaysian Supreme King, the Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, His Royal Highness Sultan Muhammad V will be a proactive, just and active ruler who will use his powers and authority to return fairness and justice to our country. Insya Allah.
