Lately, many have become confused as to what is the correct manner by which to call others to Islam?
Some choose to go join this or that religious group only to find out later that there are some deviant ways associated with them or end up getting the wrong kind of teachings that can lead them astray from what Almighty Allah and His Messenger the blessed Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam wants us to have faith in and practice?
The Holy Quran is now available to us online for free. Accessible from anywhere on Earth as long as you have a gadget that is connected to the internet 24/7. Go to www.quran.com.
It has everything you need. All kinds of major languages and is so easy to understand for it comes with transliteration systems that help the Non Arabic user to learn how to say it right! You can also listen to the audio version to guide you how to recite the verses of the Qur’an correctly!
What did the Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wassallam ask of us?
“Ballighu anni walau ayah! ~ Convey from me even an Ayah of the Quran; relate traditions from Banu Israel, and there is no restriction on that; but he who deliberately forges a lie against me let him have his abode in Hell.” [Sahih Al Bukhari Vol.4 Book of Stories of the Prophet Hadith # 3461]
In the current world in which we are living today, there are many ways to share and spread the Truth of Al Islam.
We can join the many Dakwah organizations that are set up today and volunteer our services in taking part in their events and activities.
If you are living in Penang, you can go join The Islamic Propagation Society International where my friend Tuan Haji Kamaruddin Abdullah and a team of dedicated Dakwah activists are doing a very good job of sharing Islamic Knowledge and assisting people from all over the world to learn and embrace Islam.
Down south in Singapore, there is the Darul Arqam Singapore which caters to those seeking knowledge about Islam:
The problem here in Malaysia is that those having authority in the State Islamic Religious departments and in JAKIM @ Islamic Development Department in the Prime Minister’s Department fail to get in touch with the masses or common people out there in our communities and society.
All their religious knowledge and training is left hanging in the form of their academic qualification scrolls displayed prominently on their office walls. They become distant from the ummah and also the Non Muslims by self imposed restrictions and bureaucracy.
They seriously need to do away with all these hindrances and go mix with the Malaysian multi-ethnic, multi-faithed society and help dispel falsehoods and misunderstandings about Islam with both the average Muslims and Non Muslims who are confused about the do’s and don’ts of our faith.
Malaysians must know the difference between what is cultural practices or norms and what are the teachings and obligations of Islam? Only through proper instructional Dakwah efforts can these misunderstandings or misconceptions that are prevalent nowadays.
Reach out or share through the social media here on the internet if you are knowledgeable in the truth of our Islamic Faith. Insya Allah.
