|Allahyarham Haji Azree Ifli (R) with his Mother Hajjah Alia
Inna lillahi wa inna Ilaihi Raji’un! From Allah we came ; to Allah we return!
We were driving home when we received a telephone call from our relative in Kuantan informing us of the tragic news that Haji Azree Ifli, our nephew has passed away as a result of a cardiac arrest while on their way to his in laws home in Lanchang, Pahang with his wife.
Allahyarham Haji Azree had just turned 33 last month in June. He had been married in 2011 and we had turned up for his marriage just after I had returned home from my Hajj.
Allahyarham Haji Azree has a history of heart problems and this was his 3rd and final complication. He is survived by his wife, an English teacher. They have no children.
According to his wife, he had sat over at the passenger side and his wife took over from him and drove to Lanchang. When he started to feel feeble, his wife had tried to get him to take his heart medication but his moment had come.
His wife had called for help by telephoning the emergency medical services and had carried out CPR as instructed by the paramedics online but he had already passed away.
His wife had no choice but to drive to the nearest police station and after the paramedics arrived and confirmed his death, his remains was brought home to his mother’s place here in Kuantan.
Due to the heavy rain, his burial has to be postponed to after 8.00am this Thursday morning.
Allahyarham Haji Azree Ifli will always remain in our heart and prayers. He was a gentle person and always respectful of us. He was and will always be treasured in our memories.
Me and my wife @ Haji Azree’s maternal aunt drove nonstop from our home in KL and only made a short stop at the Maran Layby before continuing our journey to Kuantan.
We had left KL after ‘Isya prayers and reached Kuantan just after midnight. We have managed to pay our last respects to him and recited the Surah Yaseen as our duty towards our beloved departed nephew.
May his burial take place in the best of situations and May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala bless his soul.
As per our beliefs, those of us Muslims who pass away in this sacred month of Ramadhan, will be entered into Jannah and be given our rightful places in the Mercy of our Supreme God Almighty, Allahu Rabbul Alamin.
“O Allah, forgive Haji Azree Ifli bin Hajjah Alia. Make him among the guided ones, raise his status and be his deputy among the grieving. O Lord of the two worlds, forgive us and him and make his grave wide and full of light”.
Ameen Ya Rahman! Ameen Ya Raheem.
