Malaysia an Islamic nation? Hmm..lots more to do bro…

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh!


Dear Ikhwanul Muslimin na wal Muslimat! Mukminin na wal Mukminat!


I happened to come across a KLPos You Tube video claiming that our country is now an Islamic nation! In the said video it shows several religious figures coming up with all kinds of opinions and references justifying their stand. Here it is:

Surely the religious figure’s aren’t deaf, dumb or blind towards realizing that such a claim rings hollow when in actuality the nation is not being governed according to the true Commandments of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala preserved in the Al Quran Al Karim and as per the enjoinments of Rasulullah, Prophet Muhammad ibni Abdullah, Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam!


On what basis do these religious figures base such pretentious claims that Malaysia is now a true blue ‘Islamic Nation‘?


Is it by the growing number of grand masjids that are being built across the country? 


Or by the pseudo ‘Syariah Laws’ gazetted by the Syariah Justice Department and set as the groundwork of the Malaysian Syariah Courts which in reality are simply a watered down sacrilegious mockery of the real Syariah Codes of Allahu Ta’ala?


By what other example do the so called ‘Heads of Islam’ who live extravagant pompous aristocratic lifestyles and merely give ‘lip service’ to having self appointed religious titles justify their claims to be the rightful ones to lead the Malaysian Muslim ummah in matters concerning the faith of Al Islam? 


This ‘Islamic Nation’ often shocks and surprises many of those foreign Muslims who come here expecting to see a model Islamic State in practice but are often  flabbergasted to see the way some of Malaysia’s so called Muslims go about their ways that leaves such a high claim in shreds and tatters!


In fact, yesterday when I was on a photo shoot outing with a few members of the KL Photography Club Meetup members, I came across an Omani safety and health authority officer who was holidaying with his wife and daughter for the 3rd time here in this country. 


During our conversation, he asked me why some of the Muslim women here dress so provocatively in public and there seems to be a general lack of observance of the do’s and don’ts of Islamic ethics and principles amongst the people?


Maybe our religious figure or figures claiming that Malaysia is a true blue Islamic Nation would care to come up with some flimsy excuses to justify the way the religious authorities are there in office just in name so alike the mirage of the burning deserts?


All smoke and no fire!


The way our ‘Heads of Islam’ go about their ways here in Mamluk al Malaisie reminds me of the way the hedonistic lifestyle loving ‘Caliphs’ of the Ottoman Caliphate brought about the demise of the Islamic Empire back in 1924!


Their crime was simply giving in to their nafs and love of the earthly pleasures of this temporal life so alike what the ‘Heads of Islam’ of this country are now doing to this very moments in these ‘Akhirul Zaman’ @ The Last Ages.


The Ottoman Caliphs strayed very far from the frugal lifestyles set forth as an example of the Blessed Messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, his successors, Amirul Mukminin Sayyidina Abu Bakr As Siddiq Radhiallahu Anhu as the first Khalifah of Islam, followed by Amirul Mukminin, Sayyidina Umar Al Khattab Radhiallahu Anhu as the 2nd Khalifah of Allah. 


Followed then by the 3rd Khalifah of Allahu Ta’ala, Sayyidina Uthman Al Affan Radhiallahu Anhu during whose rule the Blessed Al Quran Al Karim was finally compiled and preserved as it has come to be to this day and the last of the Khilafah Ar Rasyideen was Amirul Mukminin, Sayyidina Ali ibni Abi Talib Radhiallahu Anhu.


All of the Khalifah’s of Islam save for Sayyidina Abu Bakr As Siddiq Radhiallahu Anhu were assassinated by the enemies of Allah in the fold of the ummah itself! Not by any Kaffirs! From their so called ‘fellow Muslims’.


The enemies of Allah within the ummah itself are the ones who so very often bring about the fall and destroy the achievements of those of our forefathers and fail to bring about the resurgence and renaissance of the Golden Age of Islam!


Which was once a shining example of how successful Muslims can be if their leaders kept true to their swearing of allegiance to what Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam had asked the ones in authority over the affairs of the Muslim ummah to observe and entrusted them to rule over the ummah according to the Commandments of Allah Azza Jalla as per the Commandments revealed in the Al Quran Al Karim and as per his Sunnah?


Nowadays, those who claim to have and hold authority over the affairs of the Muslim Ummah both here in Malaysia and elsewhere around the world are made up of those who are seriously lacking in the true Knowledge of Islam and unfit to lead them in Islamic Affairs.


Those who have all the religious know how and possess a long list of credentials are often sadly reduced to being mere namesakes and kowtow to the wishes and demands of the ‘powers that be’ and every now and then be put into the prayer reciter’s role in so called official events.


What a bloody waste!


Yet these fellows now have the gall to come forth and claim that this country is an ‘Islamic Nation’?


Are we that gullible to swallow hook, line and sinker all the fallacies that these title bearing chaps are dishing out to the general public in the impending advent of the Malaysian 13th General Elections soon?


Only the clueless in KL and other parts of Mamluk Al Malaisie will succumb to such false statements.


This country is not being ruled according to the dictates of the true Syariah Code of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala and as per the Sunnah of the Blessed Prophet of Islam, Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and we all know it!!!


The status quo right now is that we have persons seriously lacking in true knowledge of Islam leading us in matters concerning the religion and we have those religious figures rubberstamping each and every wish and command of the secularist powers that be!


In a sense, we have many false pretenders and ‘false prophets’ calling the shots that do affect and concern the general well-being of the Ummah exactly as per what Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam, Khataman Nabiyyi foretold roughly a thousand four hundred over years ago!


The Malaysian Muslim ummah is so divided and many are left clueless about what exactly is this faith about? 


Religious personalities turn each and every gathering of theirs into something alike the comedy sketches one sees taking place at comedy clubs, etc.!


They have turned into some sort of entertainers spicing up their speeches with witty wisecracks and oneliners often drawing tens of thousands of diehard fans sporting the religious skullcaps and flowing hijabs. Case in example here.


In actuality, the majority of such diehard followers are often not that aware of what it is that they are really being brainwashed into accepting as the ‘gospel truth’ and very so often turn into overzealous fanatics who’d waste no time getting into skirmishes and join demonstrators wreaking havoc to the peace and security of the relevant communities of the country!


As I have titled this response to the said video in the form of an article here, there’s still a whole lot more that we all need to do before we can blow that trumpet claiming our nation here is truly worthy of being known as an Islamic State!


Mere form without having the relevant content that is put to practice and understood for exactly what it is and stands for renders such a pretentious claim as exactly that!


A false declaration.


We who are members of the global Muslim Ummah need to do our part in bringing about a real change in the attitude and way of life of our fellow adherents to the Deen of Al Islam.


Merely going about sporting a religious garb and appearance does not justify coming out with such a claim that this apparently hedonistic country deserves such a title as being an Islamic Nation as per what the said religious figure dares to claim?


Please put to practice first what our religious authorities or those who claim to be so really do preach? Generalizing the thinking that because of the existence of many masjids here and there and the random adorning of religious grabs and outfits doesn’t do justice to such baseless claims that this country here is now truly that which defines what an Islamic Nation is???


Only when those claiming to be the ‘Heads of Islam’ here in Malaysia really do practice what they preach and see to it that it is Allah’s Laws and Syariah code are really observed and abide to in the running of this country can we all nod in agreement to what the religious figure is on record of having said or claimed so?


Till then, its better for us to really put to practice what we know Islam asks of us and encourage others to do the same before we can qualify such a pretentious claim? 


Karpal Singh the consistently anti-Islamic State opposing Opposition Leader needs not lose sleep over this hollow and unfounded claim!


This claim will soon pass off as has been the tendency of this ever changing and  constantly being in political turmoil nation has come to be?


Even PAS, the main Malay Muslim Opposition party which once had the setting up of an Islamic State here in Malaysia as its main party agenda has today shelved that objective and replaced it with a ‘welfare state’ program as its alternative agenda after failing to get the DAP and PKR’s support for their original cause!

When PAS itself has flip flopped from setting up their idea of an Islamic State, then these religious figure’s who claim that Malaysia under secularly inclined UMNO and the BN have realized such a state are truly pulling a fast one and misleading the ummah!


The powers that be in UMNO and the Malay Royalty making up the bulk of the ones who in real authority over the affairs of the Muslim Ummah are too deeply entrenched in their pursuing their hedonistic lifestyles to really want to make a real change to actually setting up an Islamic State here in Malaysia!


They can’t bear to live a frugal life as practiced by Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and his Companions. 


They have been proven to be willing to fight tooth and nail to protect their whims and fancies over trivial earthly pleasures what more about asking them to live a life that is akin to that of being an ascetic? No way Jose! The recent fiasco’s reported in the newspapers and other form of media attest to this!


You’d be better off thinking that cows or pigs can fly then to expect our titled ones to go without their earthly comforts? As the Malay saying goes,’ tunggu kucing bertanduk!’ ~ wait for cats to grow horns!


I’d truly love to witness the day when our Heads of Islam will climb up to the pulpits of our numerous masjids and deliver the Khutbah procaliming to the awaiting jamaah the announcement of setting up of the much awaited Dar al Islam that each of us yearn for? 


Frankly speaking, I guess it won’t take place during my lifetime here on Earth? Yet, I won’t dismiss it off entirely either.


May Allah bless and guide us and those who claim to be in authority over us here on Earth to be really able to set up and see to the setting up of such an Islamic Nation or State.


Karpal Singh’s challenge for us to cross his dead body before we can really set up such an Islamic State will one day come to be realized! But then again as Muslims, it is not enjoined in our faith to show disrespect to even a Kaffir such as him! 


Rasul Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam once stood up in respect when the funeral bier of a Yahud was being carried on the road! Such is the general courtesy shown by our beloved Prophet of Allah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam to another son of Adam Alaihis Salam. So must we follow the Example of our Prophet!


Karpal Singh and every other opponent of Islam will one day cease to be just like each one of us. We shall live and die within the hours of the 5 daily prayers. Both Kings and Commoners will taste Death and it is inevitable!


No one! I mean no one is gonna live forever and our last and final moment here on Earth will soon be a reality and we will be processed accordingly by the ascribed Malaikats of Allah to take us to task over our deeds or misdeeds?

Sorry to be a spoilsport old chap but Malaysia is still in a stage of ‘work in progress‘ as far as the setting up of a bonafide rightly accredited ‘Islamic Nation’ is concerned?


All my best wishes are for those who really are in a position to effect such a cause! Use your authority to make this happen!


Proclaiming the still secular country to be an Islamic nation when obviously Malaysia is not run according to the true Syariah Laws of Allahu Ta’ala is akin to deluding the masses into a false sense of being.


The country is still being ruled according to the British drawn Constitution isn’t it? Any attempt to change the country’s judicial system to that which is based on the Al Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam automatically gets negated!


Before any dimwit tries to question me, please go ask any reliable well informed legal practitioner as to whether this is true or false?


Malaysians ought to know better than to just swallow whatever is being bandied about claiming that we are an Islamic nation in the real sense of the word when the reality isn’t so?


If we are an Islamic nation already, PAS wouldn’t still be striving to try and implement the Hudud Laws since Malaysia’s Independence, would they?


The reality is that UMNO doesn’t dare change the Constitution to that of an actual Islamic State because their own coalition partners in the Barisan Nasional such as the MCA and MIC plus GERAKAN have long threatened to leave the coalition if UMNO attempts to do so and try to please the Muslims of this country?


So, we are sort of stuck between the Devil and the deep blue sea! Go study the reality of the current Malaysian judicial system before any of you especially nameless cybersnipers come and try to question my saying so that this country has yet to become a proper Islamic nation!


The country might still be having a Malay majority ruling it but they have yet to really place the Al Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam as the bedrock of Malaysia’s Constitution!


We need to work towards educating the masses especially the ones calling the shots here to stop the theatrics and uphold Islamic Laws which are from Almighty Allah Himself and not try to pull a fast one by passing off manmade watered down laws as the Syariah Code here.


Think before jumping to conclusions with kneejerk reactions and responses.


I am all for the proper implementation of the true Islamic Syariah here in Malaysia. There is still a whole lot of work to be done in educating the ummah about the faith and not just let them continue to live in a state of delusion and fallacy.
