Its not an event to easily forget. Being at the Masjidil Haram, that is! To finally be there in person, seeing with our own eyes and listening to the Talbiah being said out loud by millions of our fellow Muslim pilgrims is an unforgettable moment in our life!

Nothing beats being there in the grounds of the most sacred masjid of Islam.
The Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam said, “A prayer in this Masjid of mine is better than one thousand prayers anywhere else, except for Al-Masjid Al-Haraam. A prayer in Al-Masjid Al-Haraam is better than one hundred thousand prayers (anywhere else).” [Ahmad]
That means that one prayer in the Masjidil Haram is equivalent to the five daily prayers offered over a period of 55 years, 6 months and 20 days! That is likened to my whole life where I am just going to turn 54 come a few more months!!! Insya Allah!
May Allah grant me another chance to be there in Masjidil Haram once more before I pass away from this earthly life! Ameen.

Here I am before the golden gates of the Kaabah. Notice the sajadah @ prayer carpet thrown by someone at the entrance of the gates to the Kaabah?
This is a sacrilegious act committed by someone who thinks that by having the sajadah to be rubbed there or comes into contact with the blessed Kaabah, it will be in a way come off blessed in itself?
Many Muslims with distorted beliefs and learning do commit all kinds of acts in the name of the faith. It is important that Muslims stick to the basics of Islam and learn to differentiate between what is right and enjoined by Allah the Almighty and His Final Messenger Prophet Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and to stay away from the wrong ~ the false practices and the distorted beliefs concocted by the deviants from the faith of Allah!

It was jampacked like sardines in a tin at the area around the Kaabah. I could hardly move an inch without someone else giving way and there were times when I felt that I was going to go out of breath due to the immense squeezing and pressure from having so many bodies pressing against me! 😛

Even the guard had to hang on for dear life standing on the marbled base of the blessed Kaabah to avoid being caught in the sea of humanity converging all around the Qiblah of the world’s Muslims.

Eager hands reaching out from the swirling mass of pilgrims performing the Tawaf to touch the Kaabah and establish contact with the Qiblah that we have all been directing our prayers at in the worship of Allahu Ta’ala!

Some are overcome by emotion that they are finally here before the very Kaabah which was and still is the Qiblah of all of Allah’s prophets and messengers!

I even helped pull a few hands belonging to my fellow Haji’s to be able to touch the walls of the Kaabah!

This is the blessed Kaabah which was erected by Our Father Sayyidina Adam Alaihis Salam with the help of Allah’s Malaikats! Raised again by Sayyidina Ibrahim Alaihis Salam with the help of his son, Sayyidina Ismail Alaihis Salam after it was obliterated during the Great Flood during the prophethood of Sayyidina Nuh Alaihis Salam!

This is also the Kaabah which was rebuilt during the times of Rasulullah Sallalahu Alaihi Wassallam and to be able to be there is just a rollercoaster ride of emotions and passions that rock us to our foundations, body and soul!
Masya Allah!
I need to go now but will return and publish more photos later. Insya Allah!
