MAHAGURU58

The Truth must be told no matter what so Justice can live!

Mahaguru58’s Wukuf at Arafah exclusive photos by Hj Abdul Shukor Side FX

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.

Dear friends, brothers and sisters in Islam.

Due to the tight schedule of my movements during the Hajj of 1432 After Hijrah as a member of Tabung Haj’s Media team, I have not had the opportunity to publish and share with you all that has transpired on a day to day basis.

First and foremost, we have to perform our Hajj rituals and ibadah as demanded in our Islamic faith and stick to the guidelines and time frame of performing each Hajj ibadah.

Secondly, I can only manage to shoot and store whatever visuals I can manage during the period and only get to publish them now after all my obligations towards my Hajj obligations have been fulfilled.

I have in store a thousand over visuals and quite a number of video recordings that I have safely stored in my image bank on my laptop here. Insya Allah, over time, I will be sharing them with you here through a series of writings on my Hajj experience.

During my Wukuf at Arafah, a member of Side FX, photographer Haji Abdul Shukor happened to take these photos of myself when I was invited by the Tabung Haji Religious Adviser to call out the Azan!

Subhanallah! It was an honor that I didn’t expect at all! To be the Muezzin during Wukuf in Arafah is simply something that only those who are very fortunate and blessed get to perform. I was truly humbled and did my best in calling out the Azan.

I didn’t expect that Haji Shukor would immortalize that historic moment in my life and later come over to share with me the images I am putting up here in this article! As it was, I had been taking some shots of him climbing up a rocky outcrop earlier in his ihram and I shot some excellent ‘Iwo Jima’ style shots of him which I had shared with him. So, in a sense, it was sort of a trade off between us media personnel.

Here are the rest of his photos of myself during the prayers in which I took part in my Wukuf at Arafah:

And here are a few shots of Haji Abdul Shukor that I captured that day:

As the saying goes, one good turn deserves another. So, Haji Abdul Shukor, consider the favor settled. 🙂

Till we meet again in the next article in Mahaguru58’s Hajj Pilgrimage 1432, here’s wishing you all the best in your life and Insya Allah, those of you who have yet to perform your Umrah and Hajj, I pray that Allah the Almighty will have you as His Guests in the coming Hajj seasons, Amin Ya Rabbal Alamin!

Wassalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh.
