P44- Parlimen Permatang Pauh. A story to ponder upon?

Dear fellow Malaysians,

I came across this short story which I feel is relevant to what’s taking place at P44 Parlimen Permatang Pauh By Election?

Youth Perspectives: The Mouse Trap by Br. Ebrahim Varachia

A mouse looked through his little doorway to see what food the farmer had brought home in the mysterious package?

To the mouse’s astonishment the mouse discovered that the package contained nothing less than a mousetrap!

The mouse scurried out of the door and toward the farm to seek the help of the other animals.

He first arrived at the chicken’s pen and proclaimed, “There is a mouse trap in the house!”

The chicken raised his head and squawked, “I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it.”

The mouse then ran to the quiet sheep and told him, “There is a mouse trap in the house!”

The sheep sympathized but only said, “Mouse, I am very sorry, but there is nothing I can do except pray for you. Be assured you are in my best of prayers.”

The mouse then turned to the cow and said, “There is a mouse trap in the house!” The cow replied, “Sorry mouse, but it’s no skin off my nose.”

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer’s mousetrap alone.

That night there was a sound heard throughout the entire house, like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer’s wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught. The snake then bit the farmer’s wife with its big white fangs.

The farmer rushed his wife to the hospital, and the doctor told her to get a lot of rest.

She returned home with a very bad fever. Now everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his hatchet to the farmyard for the soup’s main ingredient.

But the wife’s sickness persisted, so friends and neighbors came to sit with her around the clock. To feed them, the farmer slaughtered the sheep.

The farmer’s wife did not get well and soon passed away. So many people came for her funeral; the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse, too small to do anything, looked up from his little home within the walls in great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn’t concern you, remember — when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We are all involved in this journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another to do good and forbid evil.
If we as Malaysians living in this country think that what is happening to our brothers and sisters over there in Permatang Pauh does not affect or concern us, we’re dead wrong.
They are our Malaysian brothers and sisters and it is our duty to help them, may it be in the smallest or biggest of deeds.
If we can’t help them physically or financially, at least help inform others about their political predicament through our blogs and websites.
They need to be alerted to all the tricks and charades being orchestrated by the giant BN Election Machinery as the posting before this?
On another note, as fellow Malaysians, we must remember to not fall prey to the same old racist propaganda and allow ourselves to be kept divided right up to this day by fearing this and that which is conjured up by the ones who love to divide and rule over us as they bloody well please?
It is true that we are all different. Different in our skincolor , different in our physical appearances, faith and customs.
No one can deny that. All these talk of a Bangsa Malaysia is just political hogwash. Ear candy.
A Malay will remain being a Malay and so will an Indian Muslim, Chinese, Tamil, Sikh, etcetera remain whatever ethnicity one is born as?
It makes no difference according to my outlook for if a person is good, it doesn’t matter as to who or what he or she is?
On the other hand, if a person is evil, it makes no difference if he or she is one’s blood relative, sibling or offspring?
As Malaysians who are now living in different times and social situations unlike the times of our parents, grandparents and great grandparents, it is important that current day Malaysians learn to live in peace and harmony with each other and learn from the good and bad times of our country’s historical past?
The way some folks go about today, still spewing racist epithets as they please especially during the recent protests, greatly saddened my heart.
We were there for the reason of our faith but some persons turned that into a racist agenda!
That saddened me and made me feel sorry that such mindsets still thrive amongst folks who are young and ought to know better?
My conclusion is that these racist mindsets are the fruits of the BN’s continuing racial agenda.
Yes! As long as the BN is made up of political parties which are set up along differing racial lines, Malaysia will not really be able to move forward in the real sense as a nation.
Despite all the wonderful gimmicky tourism ads which depict our country as ‘Malaysia Truly Asia’, we will still be separated by our different ethnicity and category.
Bumiputera is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘son of the earth’.
Pray tell me as to where were Non Malays living here in Malaysia born?
Outer space?
Surely not, right?
We are Malaysians, each and everyone of us. Sure, we differ in terms of ethnicity and religious creed but we ought to be able to live in peace and harmony with each other just as Malayans lived before?
As a Muslim Caller to Islam, I always emphasise on our same origins as the Children of our Father, the Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam and of our Mother Saiyidatina Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha.
Circumstances cause us to be born as Muslims and others to be born as Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, etc.
As a Caller to Islam, I study my faith and our origins and have long came to learn that our Father, Prophet Adam Alaihis Salam was created by Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala as a Mukmin, who believes in Allah.
Surely Almighty Allah who created Adam will not allow him to be a Disbeliever in Him?
That would defeat the purpose as to why Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala created Mankind through Adam Alaihis Salam and Hawwa Radhiallahu Anha to go and worship another?
Yet, I learn that Allah Azza Wa Jalla is Most Merciful, Most Gracious and allows Mankind to have the freedom of choice YET does not wash off His Hands on those who stray away from His Path!
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala still has that endless Oceans of Mercy in Him to keep sending so many prophets and messengers to us Mankind through the ages.
124,000 of them starting from our Father Adam Alaihis Salam. They were called Nabi and 5 of them were Rasul.
You need to know the difference between the term Nabi and Rasul Allah. Nabi means Prophet whereas Rasul is the term for the Messengers of Allah.
  • There were 124,000 Nabi’s @ Prophets of Allah, God Almighty sent to us Mankind through Time but there were only 25 amongst them who were mentioned by name in the Qur’an with 5 of them being the major Messengers of Allah.
  • Adam, Idris @ Enoch, Nuh @ Noah, Hud, Saleh, Ibrahim @ Abraham, Luth @ Lot, Ismail @ Ishmael, Ishak @ Isaac, Yaakob @ Jacob, Yusuf @ Joseph, Ayub @ Job, Shuaib, Musa @ Moses, Haron @ Aaron, Zulkifli @ Dhul Kifl, Daud @ David, Sulaiman @ Solomon, Ilyas @ Elias, Ilyasa @ Elisha, Yunus @ Jonah, Zakaria @ Zachariya, Yahya @ John, Isa @ Jesus , Muhammad al Mustafa.
  • The 5 major Messengers of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala are Prophets Nuh Alaihis Salam @ Noah (pbuh), Ibrahim Alaihis Salam@ Abraham (pbuh), Musa Alaihis Salam @ Moses (pbuh), Isa al Masih Alaihis Salam @ Jesus Christ (pbuh) and Muhammad Sallalahu Alaihi Wassolatu Wassallam, the Greatest and Final Messenger of Allah Azza Wa Jalla.
Dear brothers and sisters,
Let’s learn more about what is common between us and not dwell on what separates us?
These challenging times which may be the turning point for our nation’s future is not a period where we can afford to say that just because the by election that is going to take place on August the 26th, 2008 does not really involve those of us who are living elsewhere than Permatang Pauh, we can just ignore the implications that might be coming from the results of this election involving Anwar Ibrahim, Ariff Shah and Hanafi Mamat?
Just like the story of the little mouse and the animals that refused to bother about it’s concerns over the farmer’s buying of a mouse trap, the consequences of disregarding the P44 Permatang Pauh by election, will be disastrous for us as a people!
Keep tabs on what’s taking place in the nation and learn to look at both sides of the coin so to speak before coming to any conclusions as far as the nation’s current political drama is concerned?
May rationality and commonsense prevail over there in Permatang Pauh and throughout our beloved nation as we face these challenging times together as one people, Malaysians!
Ameen!
For a better, prosperous, progressive, united Malaysia!
Vote for Change! Vote for Pakatan Rakyat!
