Doha Debate with Sheikh Hamza Yusuf & others

After watching this very enlightening episode of the Doha Debate where prominent personalities of the Muslim, Christian, American, Palestinian and Jewish community speak about various issues that has affected the lives of mankind particularly where each personality clearly spoke about matters that have a profound effect on the nations that are caught in an endless confrontation between them in so many ways, I feel that all bloggers should watch this debate and ponder upon its content for our mutual benefits.

This debate is chaired by Mr.Tim Sebastian on behalf of the Qatar Foundation and the subject was in combating extremism in the world wherever it appears which is a program of the United Nations Alliance on Civilization.

Among the prominent figures who took part in this debate are renowned American Muslim scholar Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, head of the Zaytuna Institute, Archbishop Desmond Tutu from South Africa and Nobel Peace Prize winner, renowned American Christian-Muslim Comparative Religious Professor John L. Esposito from Georgetown University, Lawyer Diana Buttu who formerly represented the Palestinian Authority in dealing with the Israeli regime and even famous author Karen Armstrong who spoke from the audience of international students studying in the Middle East.
