The Royal Malaysian Parliamentary Circus is in session.

Dear fellow Malaysians,

Isn’t that an apt conclusion to the way some of our nation’s so called Members of Parliament misbehaved in the first sitting of Parliament?

I see the Speaker of Parliament behave as if he is the ultimate ruler above all in the nation’s highest office where laws are made and amended changing the future and fortunes of this country’s citizens.

I see Lim Kit Siang in his perpetual mode of raising a ruckus as he has all his life as an MP.

I see Karpal Singh starting the name calling by referring to Bung Mukhtar Radin the Kinabatangan MP as ‘Big Foot’!

I see Bung Mukhtar Radin respond with his own idiotic insulting manner of asking the handicapped Karpal to stand!

Ladies and Gentlemen, the Royal Malaysian Parliamentary Circus is now in session!

If you had expected the YB’s to behave respectfully as required by their positions, sorry!

It is not in their genes to be so.

For the umpteenth time, Malaysia’s Parliamentarians have always turned each sitting as a circus performance complete with clowns and idiots who waste the nation’s precious resources and time in making a mountain out of every mole hill and betray the trusts of the very Malaysians who voted them into power?

Now, we have a new Speaker who looks like he is trying to turn the Malaysian Parliament into his personal domain where he is the supreme king of the heap!

I for one can only hope that our nation’s highest office of law and governance will one day see a sense of decorum and normalcy in it’s august premises now being dirtied by a few clowns and foul mannered apes in human form, masquerading as lawmakers.

Will the Malaysian Parliament live up to it’s original purpose?
