I demand that the Malaysian mainstream media start calling the new governments of the States of Kelantan Darul Naim, Pulau Pinang and Seberang Perai, Kedah Darul Aman, Perak Darul Ridzuan and Selangor Darul Ehsan as being ruled by the BARISAN RAKYAT!
Any media channel which labels the DAP, PKR and PAS Coalition as ‘PAKATAN PEMBANGKANG’ will I deem to be committing a libel against the rightful people elected honorable state governments and the Barisan Rakyat @ People’s Front Coalition must take legal action against the offending foul mouthed channels!
I call upon the leaders of the People’s Front Coalition to initiate and file charges against the offending media channels for character defamation of the Barisan Rakyat @ People’s Front who are worthy of respect and be treated as respectable governments of the five states here in Malaysia.
It is unethical for the Malaysian mainstream media to keep being the political whores of the BN and I will deem each and every news broadcaster male or female of RTM, TV3, NTV7, Astro Awani or Bernama TV as pelacur politik if they keep referring to the people’s choice as Pakatan Pembangkang!
Fair game? If you can refer to them as ‘Pakatan Pembangkang‘, would it be alright for us to call you ‘Pelacur Politik‘?
What shall it be? You Malaysians who voted for the People’s Front agree with me on this?

i agree, i wish that all the three said party of the opposition would be called barisan rakyat. what is more important is that these parties should work as one, named as one and avoid being identified as separate race centric/based parties. already there are rumours on the net of people trying to break the coalition by whispering mistrust between pas and dap. agent provocateurs from the ruling party would have a field day of sowing their poison. we have just started, the battle has been won but the war is still ongoing. dont let this beautiful moment die a premature death. let it be historical.the rakyat is counting on you. the next pru is only in five years time. be vigilant.
I agree with you that the coalition must be referred as Barisan Rakyat. And I hope the partners will themselves endorsed that name.
I don’t even watch or listen to RTM or TV3. Semua berita karut belaka! Really childish, stupid and horribly tak kreatif langsung. Memang membodohkan sesiapa yang menonton!
I think you have a point. If they still keep calling the peoples choice as “pakatan pembangkang” or whatever, we’ll have to act.
Please don’t be as arrogant as BN leaders Bro. Why must we call the newscasters Pelacur Politik? They are just employees of the stations who are just cari makan like all of us. The shareholders and management are at fault. Not the employees. Remember when all of us bloggers were called monyet/beruk? Well, we didn’t like it. So Bro, lets not do unto others that which do not want others to do unto us.
Just my 2 cent worth.
Peace!
Thanks for the feedback Rizal.
It is a covert psychological warfare that the MSM are carrying out on us who are subject to having to listen to such suggestive and implicating terms when they keep rubbing it in to the television viewers!
Not many people realize the subversive manner by which these propaganda spewing agents of the rogue regime are carrying out these brainwashing techniques?
I will write a whole article exposing why I demand that the MSM stop calling the People’s Front as ‘Opposition Pact’or ‘Pakatan Pembangkang’?
Best regards.
Brother Maverick,
As usual, you prove yourself to be one of my favorite writers online.
Brilliant is just the word to describe your being able to see exactly what I mean behind this article?
May Allah bless you sir!
Brother gangeticus,
Same wavelengths as mine sir. Good to know that it is not just me who is getting sick of listening to their insulting language day in day out?
Only those who are clueless about this propaganda measure will think that we are over reacting?
No wonder the BN gets to screw Malaysians for more than 50 years and they keep returning the morons back into power except yesterday ..in 5 states to start!
Thanks for your feedback!
Keep it coming bro!
Well art.
I do understand what you are saying but do allow me my liberty to speak my mind here in my own space!
You do not have to agree with me in whatever I write or nod in agreement with each and every issue or matter that Mahaguru58 feels strongly about?
Just let me go kick ass as I please for it is my right to feel offended by such labelings by the kowtowing MSM!
So, peace be to you sir.
They have to be called ‘Pakatan PKR-DAP-PAS’ for the time being because Barisan Rakyat is not officially registered yet. But it is wrong to call them pembangkang vis-a-vis the status of the coalition within those states.
If the PKR-DAP-PAS coalition agree, why not gather this pakatan under one banner/logo representing the Barisan Rakyat to show the strength of unity amongst themselves. Later on any election time, they would be represented under this logo against the dacing (BN). Just like the republican and the democrats in the US. What do you think?
I prefer the term “Barisan Alternatif” rather than Barisan Rakyat as the BA acronym is much more known to me.
– MENJ
Brother dbpm,
The word ‘Pakatan’ stands for ‘a Pact’ which in turn gives a connotation of something sinister.
It’s not the same as using the term ‘Barisan’ which gives a meaning of a ‘united front’ @ something noble and commendable.
So to me who understands why the MSM are labelling the coalition of political parties of the DAP-PKR-PAS as ‘Pakatan Pembangkang’ succeeds in sowing the seeds of animosity by the general public subconsciously in the general people’s perceptions of the 3 major parties who have been given the mandate by the voters in the 5 states as of yesterday.
It is not a good thing to allow the MSM to get away with this subversive attack against the Barisan Rakyat!
nickle,
Absolutely brilliant idea!
I am all for it.
Menj,
BA sounds like something that you have to settle for?
It’s not a wise thing to settle for something as a last choice which definitely the DAP-PKR-PAS are not in their struggle to fight the BN’s tyranny over us all the past 50 years?
The DAP-PKR-PAS union is a beautiful example of how all Malaysians can come together and forge a strong alliance of Malaysians who can be a better government for us all?
The name of ‘Barisan Rakyat’ @ ‘People’s Front’ beautifully speaks of these 3 political parties who fight their political battles for the sake of the Malaysian people regardless of skin color or faith?
That’s why Barisan Rakyat it should be and not Barisan Alternatif as you so love?
People’s Front not the Alternative Front.
That’s why?
Well done rakyat Malaysia, hats off to you for delivering at crunch time. When called upon, you stood proud and stead fast to be counted and you were.
Now the real work begins. Winning two thirds is a step forward in the right direction, but remember the battle has just begun. There is still the war to be fought. The BN is still in power. Start now, set the election machinery into motion, five years will be upon you in the blink of an eye.
Please avoid using the “Barisan” name. Do not confuse voters, avoid mistakes, do not give anyone a chance to mainpulate the ballots with two “Barisan” names on the ballot paper, use a new name, like “Party Rakyat Malaysia”. After all is said and done, it was the rakyat that delivered the two thirds needed to be a pain in the “you know what” of BN and to stop the rakyat being railroaded as they have been the last 50 years.
More so now than ever, the newly elected members of the rakyat as they should call themselves should get their heads together, speak as one, with one voice, loud and clear and make it be known that everything they said they will do they will strive to do.
Write a manifesto in plain language that everyone can understand, have it translated into the different languages so that everyone in the rakyat can understand, have meetings with the rakyat to explain what it is they are trying to achieve.
The BN will go all out in the next five years with the usual “handouts” in the form of paved roads, “zinc” for the roofs, outboard motors for fisherman, cheap tractors for the farmers with anything and everything that the BN can do to win the rakyat’s hearts. Beware of men (or in this case BN wolves in sheep’s clothings) bearing gifts, in the process lining their own pockets with negotiated payouts as its well known.
As for the MSM, they are at the mercy of not having their license renewed if they do not tow the line. They do not have the “you know what” to stand up to BN, so make it be known that they do not have to fear, but report the news and let the rakyat decide what is right and wrong.
Enough said. Well done rakyat Malaysia, “SATU NEGARA, SATU BANGSA, SATU VISION” should be the battle cry from now on till the next elections in five years time, do not let your guard down please …
The establishment’s propaganda has brainwashed the rakyat over the years to the extent that even DAP/PKR/PAS people will refer to themselves as “opposition”. It’s (self)derogatory, as if whoever is not of the ruling party is always opposing or rebelling against the good policies of the “good guys” (BN)! They have to a large extent used the term to create the belief and imply that the “opposition” is out to undermine or even destroy the progress of the country. And they “prove” this by using strong arm tactics to choke any “opposition” representative from serving effectively. This is still very evident in Sabah with the threats that CM Musa Aman made before the election and the victory statement made after winning Sabah in yet another landslide. They blackmail the electorate using the “development vs. no development” bait (still works with mostly rural and poor folks). It is just so shallow!
Malaysian politics had deteriorated to extreme partisanship where everything is decided along party lines. With the new dawn, Malaysian politics has taken a big step towards maturing. We must all stop using terms like “opposition-ruled states”, “opposition MP”, etc. Parliament and state assemblies are for policy debate and implementation for the good of the people, guided and restrained by the constitution and laws of the land. It is still a long way to go before some bi-partisanship can be seen practised where policies are proposed and debated based on differing ideologies, values and concepts held by different parties to come up with decisions most befitting the good of the people, states and nation.
For the moment, expect lots of battling along party lines. The more mature party (not necessarily the more experienced) can lead the nation to more mature politics. At this time, PKR-DAP-PAS really do make more sense for Malaysia.
Hehehe, I thought of this on another forum to call them Barisan Rakyat…or are you copying me? hehehehe. We play the new information ministry role huh? kahakahkahah
Hows about “Gagasan Rakyat” with its motto: “Makkal Sakthi“?
I am all for it!
PS: See how the Net works? So many ideas. So much data. Its just beautiful! And the best part? – You can’t punch the guy at the other end, if you don’t agree with him!
Hahahaha!
Peace bro.
Mike,
Very clear and detailed observations there bro!
I understand what you are saying about the MSM having not the backbone to be fair to all parties and that they are subjected to threats of non licensing if they fail to toe the BN’s line?
Yet it pisses me of to see the blatant manner by which the MSM continue to character assassinate and mislabel the DAP-PKR-PAS union?
Malaysians must be taught to be aware of this clandestine approach to form unfair opinions about the respectable party leaders of the People’s Choice parties?
selbyn,
Wise observations there. Thank you for sharing them with me.
mssv19,
Nah..just sort of thought that they should not call themselves as BA @ Barisan Alternatif.
Maybe it is true as they say that ‘great minds think alike’?
Hehehehe..
Well we who Blog without fear or favor do so as our civic duty towards our fellow Malaysians and for the sake of truth and justice!
Anyway, thanks for your comment.
Cheers!
Gangeticus,
I’ll relay the idea to DSAI and all the other Leaders of the new union!
Let’s see what the 3 parties think of it?
Thanks for the suggestion bro!
Peace.
Right on, Mahaguru.
Barisan Rakyat is certainly more inspirational, and apt, because they are in power due to the people.
Whoever suggested Barisan Alternatif needs to stop and realize that ‘alternative’ could mean something that people go to only if the main barisan sucks.
By the way, next time the government-owned media refers to the BR as pakatan pembangkang, this might confuse the poor rakyat of Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Selangor and Penang 🙂
Hahahahaha…klaw!
I love that lst paragraph of your comment!
Quote “By the way, next time the government-owned media refers to the BR as pakatan pembangkang, this might confuse the poor rakyat of Kedah, Perak, Kelantan, Selangor and Penang :)”
Beautiful!!! 😀
Keep them coming sir!
Let’s hear from more Malaysians about this matter!
So here we are, the dawn of a new day, a new lease on life in the political arena in Malaysia.
Out with the old, in with the new as its always said. BUT, don’t even try to reinvent the wheel, don’t try to fix it if it ain’t broke. Improve on the situation at hand
Kinda scary that the stock market fell 10% today. But that was expected, let the dust settle and it will bounce right back.
This is where the Rakyat’s elected leaders come in, instill investor and consumer confidence, let it be known to the world that Malaysia is still a safe place to invest, in fact it will be an even better place to invest, with tax breaks, free trade zones, political stability, strong currency, infrastructure second to none in SEA. This mantra should be repeated over and over again and again, invite the foreign press, get maximum worldwide coverage. Pounce on the opportunity, go get em boys!
Some say that it will be difficult to run the states of Penang, Selangor, Perak, Kelantan and Kuala Lumpur because of inexperience, to this I say, we have the best minds, the best experienced Malaysians that we can call upon to step up to the plate to hit a home run.
These states should be run like a business, the MB should be the CEO, he needs to get a strong team to assist him or HER (I am going out on a limb here) to run the states. Do what is best for the overall financial health of the state, keep costs in check, projects should be funded based on scale of 1 to 10, “do we really need the project”. Then a project manager should be appointed from start to finish, if it comes in under cost and on time pay out a bonus, make it incentive based. None of this BN,s start the project then go broke and send in team “B” … aka JKR to finish the project at an added cost to the “tax payers aka rakyat”. If the MB is not doing a good job, then the rakyat have a right to know the reasons, transparency is the key word ladies and gentlemen. You have been elected by the rakyat and you can be removed by the rakyat. If you were a CEO of a multi billion RM company and you screw up the company, you will lose your job, so treat the running of the states as such.
On another note, why can’t we have a “shadow government” with “shadow ministers” as its done in many democratic countries round the world. This it would seem makes sense, so that there are checks and balances, as each “shadow minister” would be keeping the counterpart BN minisiters on their toes and looking over their shoulders so that there is no abuse of power or wastage of funds on “pet” projects by the BN to win over the voters in the next elections in five years.
Again, hats off to the rakyat for standing up and being counted, today we can hold our heads up high and stand tall …
“SATU NEGARA, SATU BANGSA, SATU VISION”
