Bloggers who blog responsibly ought not fear anything!

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Ta’ala Wabarakatuh.

I refer to the current brouhaha about Bloggers facing the crackdown upon those identified as blog owners who post or allow to remain in their weblogs materials considered as offensive or libellous against the nation’s ruling government ministers, past and present or even the monarchy for the matter.

We all know that each and everything that we do here on Earth has its consequences and the old saying of ‘Thou shall reap what thou sows’ and ‘ What goes around comes around’, etc.

The thing is , as being among those who have access to the internet and are capable of putting to print our thoughts and opinions does have its obligations to be fulfilled and to ensure that what we publish is based on facts or that we are willing to take responsibility over what we blog about or allow any relevant comments in it.

To claim ignorance of the prevailing laws especially of those in the Cyberspace or to purportedly champion the ‘Freedom of Speech’ for anonymous spineless cowards hiding behind nicknames or pseudonyms is just an irresponsible thing to do and must be stopped.

I am all for responsible blogging and am supportive of measures to ensure that each and every blogger who writes or comments about anything that concerns or affects any person or authority to take full responsibility and be accountable for the contents of one’s blog or website.

Mankind tends to fear repercussions from the authorities over such a thing as this blogging but conveniently choose to forget that each and everyone of us are in fact being monitored for just all that we do, think or even feel by the Malaikats Raqib and ‘Atid’ appointed by Almighty Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala.

If those who think that they can escape persecution or repercussions for their attacks on others or any government without due and reasonable cause for the matter under a cloak of mystery or hide behind the IP anonymiser, then they ought to know that they can’t hide from the Creator who monitors each and everything that they do!

Yes, you can hide from the people here on Earth but each and every lie, each and every insult, each and every fabrication that you do, will be entered in your Book of Records without a miss and you can rest assured that you will get your dues, if not here on Earth, its guaranteed to get you in the Hereafter.

So, my fellow Bloggers. Fear not if you stand by your postings with a rightful reason to say what you wish if you have the ‘locus standi’ so to quote, in arguing or presenting whatever is your cause to the worldwide netizens.

Allah SWT knows each and everything that we do , no matter that some amongst us do not have it in them to own up or face up to their postings!

We can’t hide under cloak of anonymity forever. Just take a look at what history has in store for all those who thought that they were invincible! Where are they now?

I end this post with saying ‘Bloggers who blog responsibly ought not to fear anything except the Wrath of the Almighty who hates those who spew lies and are irresponsible backbiters without cause!’

After all, each of us humanbeings and all other creation do have an end to our existence here on Earth. Get ready to face our True Master in time and not fret unnecessarily if one is on the legitimate and straight Path of Allah !
