Dear Volunteers of the proposed Islamic Centre of the Masjid Jamek Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur!
With the Taufeek and Hidayah of Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala , the Administration Committee of the Masjid Jamek Bandaraya KL have given me the green light to go ahead with my plans to form the Islamic Centre which I have proposed! Syukur Alhamdulillah! Allahu Akbar!
Subhanallah! Alhamdulillah! La ila ha ill lall lah! Allahu Akbar!
I have been asked to submit a working paper to the Administration Committee to facilitate the setting up of centre proper and how I am going to run the centre.
All 16 names of those of you who have volunteered have been submitted to the Administration Committee and Insya Allah, I will be following up with emails to each of you as to the next steps we need to take.
The atmosphere was very cordial and they were pretty supportive of my initiative and listened attentively as I introduced myself, my background, experiences and credentials.
I showed them my work back in Penang and explained that we will be working with the existing framework of the existing Dakwah Bureau of the mosque and improve and add value to the functions of the mosque as a focus centre for our Non Muslim visitors and anyone else who wants to learn about Islam and general info about us , Muslims .
The Committee shared with me that there were earlier applications from a few Islamic NGO’s to do the same as what I am proposing but they had not been able to follow up with the actions.
Hence , my coming in to start this centre and complete with the list of all of you, the 16 pioneer volunteers and future Da’ee’s and Da’eeyah’s of this Islamic Centre is exactly what the Admin Committee have been waiting for! Alhamdulillah!
Each of you will be established as the pioneer Dakwah Team of the Islamic Centre of Masjid Jamek Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur!
Through Teamwork We Shall Strive ; With Proper Dakwah Ethics and Co-operation from each and everyone of us, this Islamic Centre will thrive!
The Islamic Outreach of ABIM have graciously offered to help prepare our Dakwah Team with all the necessary skills, knowledge and the proper methods of conducting Dakwah to Non Muslims and fellow Muslims who want to improve and add to their ‘Ilm of Islam. Alhamdulillah!
Those of you who have shared with me that your level of English is not up to mark ; have no fear! I will conduct English classes for you , free of charge!
Insya Allah, I will also arrange for Fardhu Ain classes to be held at the centre for all. Quran classes, Arabic classes, Mandarin, and other language classes will also be in the pipeline!
Insya Allah, we will do our best to bring in the relevant masters of all such ‘Ilm to help the Da’ee’s and Da’eeyah’s to add value to yourselves whereby you in turn will be able to share those newfound skills and knowledge with all others!
After attending the meeting, I got to meet a Japanese family and two Korean ladies who were visiting the mosque.
Spent some time sharing info with them and after they had left, spoke to Brother Jasper from England, who spent 20 over minutes with me just before Zohor.
All in, it was a pleasant and most promising day for me and for all of you, the pioneer team of Dakwah Volunteers of the coming Islamic Centre of KL’s most historic masjid, the 108 years old, Masjid Jamek Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.
