In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate, Most Merciful.
Insya Allah, if my plans go well and no hindrances arise, this building which houses the Meeting Hall of the Masjid Jamek Bandaraya K .Lumpur will soon be tranformed into an Islamic Centre to cater for the growing number of visitors to this most historical mosque in the capital!
I am in the midst of finishing the working papers for the setting up of the Islamic Centre and have the tacit approval of the Mosque Committee members and patron in the form of the Chairman of the Ubaidi Trust Foundation.
I have received a substantial number of Quran English, Malay, Mandarin, Spanish and Tamil Translations from the Islamic Counsellor’s Office of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia plus some Comprehensive Guidebooks , gifts from the Islamic Outreach Department of the Malaysian Muslim Youth Movement @ ABIM, KL.
I invite those of you who are interested to join us as volunteers in our Islamic Centre by emailing me your contact details at mahaguru58@gmail.com
As you can see, the hall is already well equipped with the necessary library facilities, whiteboard, tables, chairs, airconditioned, etc.
Just add in a few easy chairs, counters, audio visual equipment, brochure cabinets, etc and we will have a practical information centre that will cater well to our visitors from all over the world, Insya Allah!
Wasted spaces can be best utilised by putting in the extra effort to fully utilise and maximise usage of available facilities instead of letting it go to waste and the visitors just go around the mosque complex , snap a few photos and just leave without gaining some precious information about Islam during their visit.
Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala commands us to ‘Invite All (Mankind) to the Way of Our Lord with Wisdom and Beautiful Preaching and to Reason with them ( the Non Muslims) in Ways that are Best and Most Gracious’.
Surah An Nahl Verse 125 ,
Holy Al Qur’an .
Come join us in this noble efforts!
All are welcome especially those who have good Islamic Knowledge and are fluent in English, Mandarin, Malay, Tamil, Spanish, French, Italiano, etc. Those who are good in sign languages are also needed!
At first we will be operating totally on a voluntary basis. As and when we get our finances stabilised, we will pay an allowance to you. It’s all ikhlas fi sabilillah for the sake of Allah SWT!
We will be operating during weekends at first and as we get more volunteers, we will be operating daily in the long run. Please do’a for us. Insya Allah.

Alhamdulillah.
Keep up the good work!
=)
Tahniah Bro. InshaAllah Tuahn akan memberkati usaha2 saudara.
Mahaguru, I salute you on your effort!
On another note, I hope you take note and practise the verse that you included in this article because i have been reading your blog for sometimes now and i see that when you respond to comments from readers, especially from the non moslems, you potrayed an attitude of high and mighty, knowing all and arrogance.
That is certaintly not inline with the verse
Hehehehe, well said Brother Warrior2!
Smacks of me being a bloody pompous ass, doesn’t it?
Well, I am thankful that I have you to cut me down to size everytime I get a bit arrogant or egoistic! 😛
Alhamdulillah! Allah SWT hs given me you to keep me and my bloody ego in check! 😀
Thanks for your constant monitoring of me, your poor brother who tries to be amongst those who try sharing info about Islam whilst learning to keep my nafs in check!
I will remember your advice and try to practice what I preach or try to!
May you join me in this effort at the centre as we all see in you to be very knowledgable in most things!
Are you willing to come do your part with us or are you just gonna be an armchair critic smoking me down?
I know I need you as my thermostat!
Don’t just talk! Come join us!
Salaam mahaguru,
I don’t see you as an arrogant person.
So, why not if you are a bit stern towards others. Weren’t the Prophet(SAW) and his companions stern towards the hypocrites and disbelievers?
Look, yeah… it’s good to be nice to people. Some people do deserve and MUST be dealt with sterness. It’s a way of dealing with people.
But if you are standing up for the truth, for Allah, for Islam, there is no harm in being stern. Garang/Stern does not mean you are arrogant!
Just do what you do mahaguru. I think you need to have more experience especially in handling people to know the line between arrogance, confidence, being stern all in the name of Truth.
PS: mahaguru, don’t let people pijak on your kepala.
Wa’alaikumsalam my Cheerful beloved Sister!
I am truly honoured to have you as one of my strongest supporters and fellow blogging colleague!
Verily before Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta’ala, I testify to those who know me personally that I am very accommodating to those whose hearts are pure and sincere towards seeking the Rahma of Ar Rahman!
Insya Allah, I will continue to be a servant of Allahu Akbar and do for this Deen what I can in my own humble abilities to spread Ad Deen ul Islam in ways that I have come to master and be adept in it.
I don’t need accolades from insan but I’d sure appreciate some support from likeminded Muslims, male and female to see to it that this Islamic Centre comes into being as a small effort on my part and of others who are now emailing me their names and contact details volunteering themselves to be part of our Dakwah Team, Alhamdulillah!
This dialogue with warrior2 is just one out of many that I have with my devoted faultfinders! 😛
I am now at a stage in my life where I can take criticisms and brickbats to a certain level but those who cross the line have found out for themselves that I am no pushover!
I can be mean if I want to but age has got to me where I see these little discomfort as nothing more than like annoying mosquitoes! 😀
God created the mosquitoes and cockroaches for a reason > so that we keep our environment clean so as to dispel them and not give them room to stay.
When Karpal Singh made his anti Islamic State remark way back in 1990, I took offense to his statement and bore a grudge against the man for 9 long years!
I faced him in the Dewan Sri Pinang at the Forum Keadilan and took him to task during question time!
He apologised to me and the Muslims on that night! When I dared to face the ‘Lion of the Courts’ back then in my unshaken belief that he was wrong and Islam is right, what are these slight murmurs to me ?
I promise you that you will find me firm and not relenting when it comes to defending our faith against those who want to ridicule and mock our faith, no matter who or what they are! Insya Allah!
As for me as a humanbeing, I do admit that at times I do get pissed off and might lash out at those who provoke me but I sort of shy away from wrestling with some of those who act like swine for the very sheer reasons! Hehehehehe…
They love all those filth and grime which yours truly absolutely abhors and detests!
I prefer to keep company with the likes of you who know how to appreciate good interactions with likeminded folks.
May Allah SWT Grace your life with the sweetness of Jannah and a fitting life here on Earth and Insya Allah in the Yaum al Akhirat!
My utmost appreciation to you dear Meriza! You make my day! 🙂
Assalamualaikum bro. Mahaguru58,
Congrats on the opening of the new islamic centre. It is strategic location for tourists as compared to Islamic Outreach (where I used to be volunteer long time ago). Good Effort.
Best Wishes and we will doa for the centre’s progress.
mahaguru, I am not here to be a faultfinder and it is a pity you think me as one.
my earlier comment was in relation to the verse where it calls us to the wisdom and best and the most gracious of ways when dealing with non moslems. it is funny when for example, your parents say to you, dont drive fast and furious but that is exactly what you do when you hit the highway.
when a person tells me that he thinks i have some negative traits compare to another person who says i am all good and mighty, i`d pay more attention to the first! but i guess it is human nature to want only hear the good stuffs!
warrior2,
Life is short brother. Try to wise up to appreciating the better things in life by not being too microscopic in your perceptions and see the wider aspects of our remaining moments here on Earth.
If you want to look for the plus points in anything, I promise you that there will be a thousand and one things that will make your day.
Same thing vice versa; if you want to look for faults, I can guarantee you that you will be able to see a thousand and one faults with anything or anyone.
Choose what you will. It makes no difference to me.
I ask that you just let the past be as a guiding beacon for you to spend your remaining seconds in your life be one that appeases people’s hearts and minds rather than be a spoilsport or a killjoy most of the times.
Its better to heal than to hurt.
Allah SWT loves not those who do more of the latter!
May He guide us all.
Ameen.
Wa’alaikumsalam Dear Sis Umm,
Jazakallah khairan kathiraw for your do’a and wellwishes for us!
Insya Allah, I will persevere in my efforts to see that this proposed Islamic Centre at the Masjid Jamek KL comes into being and remain as one of our amals for the Sake of Allah and the Benefit for all Visitors to the most historical masjid here in KL.
Do share with me your experiences during your times with the Islamic Outreach ABIM KL by emailing me at mahaguru58@gmail.com.
Sure love learning from my fellow Muslims for each of our experiences are unique and worth to know and to use as an example for the future.
May your life with your beloved husband and children there Down Under be blessed by Allah and that you and family will be safe and well. Ameen Ya Rabbal Alamin.
Wishing you all a Blessed Eid Mubarak and all the best in your life, I remain
Your brother in Islam,
Mahaguru58
