Lina Joy-The Becket Fund from America-Her Patrons

To the Malaysian public, the Lina Joy apostasy case might seem trivial and most wouldn’t lose sleep over it.

To those of us who follow her case closely, the more we unravel the mysteries beneath the surface of this case, the more do we find of roots and networks going beyond our national borders!

Today, I discovered a direct link between Lina Joy or Azlina binti Jailani and The Becket Fund, an American Organisation for championing the religious ‘freedom’ of any person on Earth!

They call themselves as an organisation that is a nonprofit, nonpartisan, interfaith, legal and educational institute dedicated to protecting the free expression of all religious traditions.

They operate in three arenas: in the courts of law (litigation), in the court of public opinion (media), and in the academy (scholarship).

No wonder Azlina Jailani @ Lina Joy is so gung-ho in her agenda to beat the Syari’ah Courts of the Kingdom of Malaysia as The Becket Fund Group is solidly behind her quest!

This group is made up of the former US Attorney General and a plethora of legal eagles all hellbent in defending the rights of apostate’s wannabes like Lina!

Actually, by theory, she has already become an apostate and is thus liable to be charged under the Syariah Laws of Islam which calls for the capital punishment if after 3 warnings given to her finds her obstinate and recalcitrant to repent!

Luckily for her, Malaysia has yet to uphold the Laws of Syariah as the Supreme Laws of this country! She is still however , bound by the Syariah Courts decision to refuse her application to apostate!

I have read this group’s objectives and find them so prepared to take our Malaysian Government to the International Courts of Justice, just so that this landmark case can be made into an all-time passport for Malaysia’s Malays to apostatize as they please in the future!

So, Kerajaan Malaysia, please be aware of all the snakes in the IFC pits and watch out for those who seem so eager to please for you know not of their devious plans to destroy the foundations of Islam from within!

As far as I am concerned with this Becket Fund group, their intentions might seem noble to them but for me as a Muslim, I call it treacherous and irresponsible for them to try and champion apostasy amongst my fellow Muslims.

Azlina Jailani seems to have made a pact with the Devils in her attempt to champion herself as the first Malay murtad in Malaysia to be reckoned officially by the BN Government!

The Becket Fund group is headed by Kevin Seamus Hasson.

He is a former Attorney-Advisor for the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Legal Counsel, where his responsibilities included advising the Reagan Administration on church/state issues. He is a 1985 Magna Cum Laude graduate of the Notre Dame Law School, and also holds a Master’s Degree in Theology from Notre Dame.

Bar Memberships: District of Columbia; Illinois; United States Supreme Court; United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh, Eighth, and Tenth Circuits.

So, to our Malaysian Muslims Legal Eagles, it pays to take note of your adversaries. Know your enemy!

Let the trials begin, so to speak.

It’s now clear that this is no longer an individual’s case where he or she wants to apostate as they feel like it. This is now open warfare between the Syariah Courts of the Kingdom of Malaysia against an American Organisation that bankrolls those who want to apostate, especially from Malaysia, a ‘crucial’ point of Christian evangelical struggles here in South East Asia.

May Almighty Allah strengthen the resolve and give the Muslims victory over this case!
