I received this in my email. I don’t know whether this is the real McCoy or a Photoshop thingy.
It shows the Pope wearing a scarf which has ‘Kamasutra’ positions embroidered on it.
Is this for real? Can enlightened Christian brethren help me out with this ?
I understand that the Christian Roman Catholic Church advocates celibacy.
What is the Pope doing wearing something as offensive as this scarf?
I mean no insult to the Pope but am really curious.
Is this a sick joke or is this really part of the Pope’s regalia?
If it is , I am really surprised to see the Head of the Catholic Church wearing such vulgar imagery in a religious setting.
What is the message behind such provocative insignia? Please share your take on this. Thanks.

Am really relieved to hear that.
Personally I feel that surely His Eminence will never allow such imagery on his person for he is the figurehead of the Roman Catholic Church and the symbol for the Christian people.
If this thing is fabricated, those responsible for it are surely very sick and disturbed souls who dare to make such insulting pictures and put it up on the person of the Pope!
They will surely be punished for such sinful acts!
I have yet to read the Da Vinci Codes.
Feel like watching the movie first for I am a huge fan of Tom Hanks and the trailer looks exciting.
I learn that this film depicts the Holy Prophet Jesus @ Eesa Alaihisalam as marrying Mary Magdalene and having a child by her.
To me as a Muslim, I condemn such blasphemy and insult being made against one of Allah’s Mighty Messengers!
I’ve Googled for the image of “Pope Benedict” and it seems that the photo that you received is a hoax. The actual images displayed on his shawl or scarf, if I’m not mistaken, are the images of Mother Mary on his right and Jesus on his left. Try and check it for confirmation.
What a bad joke.
just the opposite. i’ve read the book but have yet seen the movie. but from what i heard, most who read the books are disappointed with the movie.
da vinci claims that his novel is factually correct. how far true that is will take much researching. yes, many think alike u, claiming it a blasphemy, insult to the religion and etc. understandable.
but the funny thing is, reading da vinci code somehow made me so much more accepting of christianity. dan brown peppered his novel with messages. he constantly reminds us that it isnt the hard facts in our holy books that matters the most. what’s important is faith. and the definition of faith is what we believe in.
as long as we have a strong sense of belief, worldly things like his controversial novel really doesn’t matter much.
Thanks Halian. I am happy to know that this pic is a hoax. May those who did this sick thing get boils on their butts. 😛
Chloe, really appreciate the feedback. Keep me updated. Thanks.
