One thing I can’t do without is a good cup of coffee in the morning or late night before going to bed. People say , drinking coffee can lead to heart attacks for anyone who is a chronic coffee drinker like me.
The type of coffee I drink is not the local kampong black coffee! That is a strict no no for I can’t stomach the strong taste. I prefer Nescafe or anything similar in taste.
Whenever I go to KLCC or Midvalley’s designer coffee places, nothing beats a good mug of latte. The best place to enjoy a latte is definitely the open air space of another coffee spot at the peak of Genting Highlands where we get to sip warm latte coffee while being caressed by the cool mists blowing against ourselves! Mmmmm…heavenly! 🙂
Once in a while however , it is a pleasure to sip hot, steaming tea that is brewed in a ceramic teapot and enjoyed with delicious homemade ‘chuchor’ kueh while watching the latest documentaries or teletron dramas !:P
My favourite cup of tea is our homegrown Orange Pekoe Boh Tea from the Cameron Highlands.
The aroma and flavor is definitely among the tastiest teas of the world!
Earl Grey tea is also a delicious blend of tea which I have come to love and appreciate.
Drinking tea is considered a very cultured acquired habit and from the many drinks out there , coffee and tea is definitely a Gift from Allah!
The small pleasures of life I definitely appreciate and cherish!
Alhamdulillah! Thank God for these two drinks that help to perk me up. How about you?

Wa’alaikumsalam Sister Zai,
Thank you for stopping by my humble blog.
Good to know you love Coffee too!
Maybe one of these days, we could all gather at any of the coffeespots and have a pow wow!
Most of us are busy with our own lifes at the moment but we do keep in touch through email and stuff.
Met Dr.Fakri the other day and gave him a lift back to his place.
Insya’allah, we will soon have our Qur’an classes up and going but for the time being, it’s under ‘work in progress’ mode.
Will update you once all systems are ‘go’.
Take care. Wassalamualaikum.
i love Earl Grey tea too, smoking is bad,but it just top of the world dinking & smoking
Well, I quit smoking wayback in 1987.
Used to smoke two packs of Marlboro daily since 1980.
Once I quit, my tastebuds got normal again and I put on weight quickly and gained weight!
Gradually, I managed to reduce my food intake and am now about 80kgs down from 110!
The trick is to reduce rice intake and skip lunch. Have more cereals and consume fruits often!
For those who have problems with coughs and phlegm, I recommend drinking hot tea mixed with pounded ginger!
It really clears the system and is good for health! Some claim it is good for the libido too!
Thanks for the tips
My pleasure! Sometimes things that are easily available and very affordable can make quite a difference when taken to relieve certain conditions!
Like in one of my earlier posts about reducing hypertension by drinking boiled Chinese Celery juice, it really works!
Costs about 1 ringgit max for the handful of Celery. No need to add sugar or salt.
Just plain water , bring it to boil. Let it cool down to drinking temperature, then have a cup or glass.
Clears our kidney system and flushes the bladder free from harmful substances through our urination process.
Cereals help to clear away extra cholesterol from our system and helps to regulate our bowel movements!
Will write about other tips as I recall them in my future postings.
If you know any good tips, share them with me.
May we all be well and healthy!
Salam again
From another coffee drinker. Currently an avid fan of Nescafe Breakfast Coffee 3in1. Must have at least a mug in the morning. Ok for the rest of the day. Occassionaly 2-3 cups a day when the need arise, like 2-3 times a month.
During puasa, must take a cup at sahur. Can do without eating food at sahur, but cannot do without that coffee. Pening whole day. Hee hee
Wa’alaikumsalam Ydiana.
Welcome to the club. Maybe one day we can all gather at Suria KLCC for a cuppa!
Take it easy though. too much coffee will just have you bounce around like a jack rabbit!
Hehehehehe…
Right now, I have graduated to grinding our own coffee by purchasing wholebeans from the gourmet stores.
🙂
We have a coffee maker now. Alhamdulillah.
So, it’s more brewed coffee nowadays.
